Hazelnut Biscuits

This are exquisite crunchy biscuits for hazelnut lovers.


INGREDIENTS

115g margarine or butter
75g icing sugar
115g plain flour
75g ground hazelnut
1 egg yolk
hazelnuts, for garnish
icing sugar, for dusting


METHOD

  1. In a food processor cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the flour, ground hazelnuts and egg yolk until evenly mixed.
  3. Please the mixture into a board and roll it into the shape of a sausage.
  4. Cut the sausage into half, then into halves again, and then into three, making sure they are all the same size.
  5. Press the pastries into circles and place a hazelnut into each of them.
  6. Bake at 180'c for 10-12 minutes.
